Day 9 recap

Just finished off the night with an amazing closing show. We also did a little ceremony back at camp to recognize those who helped make 2311 a great troop to be with. Everyone is excited to get up at 3:30 AM tomorrow!

Most of the activities were canceled today, due to lightning. Everyone was told to be back at camp by 1:00 to pack up. Now we are just waiting for the rain to stop and for the last stadium show to not be rained out.

Day 8 recap

Garden Ground was a cool place to visit. Mostly everyone did the Spartan Race which was a mile long obstacle course. There were also some black powder rifles, knife throwing, log rolling and other older forms of sporting. Coming back from Garden Ground, some OA members stopped at the Summit Circle, which is a replica of the first ceremonial OA circle. Later in the night, some of us went to base camp A's party to get some more free stuff.

Garden Ground

We had another early start this morning so we could make our way to Garden Ground.

Today we all went up to try some stem activities on the far side of camp. After that some of checked out the shooting sports that are also on that side.

Day 6 recap

Another exciting day here at the Jamboree. We did a few activities on the morning before we had to come back to camp so they could prep the stadium for Donald Trump. The speech was motivational and the main point was to have momentum in life and to not lose it. If you want to watch the speech on YouTube, you can click here.

Day 5 recap

Just ended the night with an OA ceremony here at the summit. Here are the 3 newest members. Congratulations!

Sunday Funday

Most of the activities were closed until later, so scouts would be able to go to church. It was a little rainy this morning, but it cleared up later. The Jambo Palooza was a hit with free stuff, loud music, and lots of fun. Going to see Trump tomorrow! If you want to get on board with more stuff going on, you can check out the Jambo Link here.

Day 4 recap

Just another great (and hot) day here at the summit. At least we have the cold showers to beat the heat.

Just enjoyed a great show!

Everyone is coming back from the first show this year at the summit. Between throwing balls around the crowd, insperational speeches, and loud music, it was definitely an amazing time. Everyone might be a little hard of hearing, but it was worth it.

Day 3 recap

Tomorrow we will have most of the day to do activities. Just the joyful job of latrine duty in the morning. If you haven't heard......... Trump is coming to the jamboree Monday! If you want more information you can click here if you didn't get the jambo link.

Rafting

Today we had an "interesting" rafting experience. It started out as a bright and sunny day, but then 5 minutes from the end, we hit a freak storm. The headwind nearly made it impossible to move forward. In the end it made for a pretty epic experience. I believe that we are ordering pictures and they will be available later.

About to go rafting

About to go rafting soon and everyone is pumped. I will post some pics when we get back.

Day 2 recap

Earlier today we did our service project for the week. We were in charge of cleaning up a local school so that it could be repainted.

It was too late to do any activities when we got back so that means more time to patch trade, explore, and play Ga-Ga Ball. Tomorrow, those who have signed up will go Rafting!

Good Morning!

After a 5:00 am start to our morning, we walk to our busses. It's a 3 hour drive until we get to our all day service project site.

Arrived at Camp!

We have successfully arrived at camp. After setting up our gear, we were allowed some personal time to start exploring.

Morning at Cracker Barrel

We are just chilling at Cracker Barrel on the morning of the 19th. Everyone is glad to get some food in them after pulling an all nighter on the bus.
